Description
St. Francis Matriculation Higher Secondary School sprang on 15 June 1971 with just only seven children, which now has 1450 children. Rev Fr. Mathias O.F.M cap. was its pioneer, and whose aim was to cater to the needs of the local people. Initially its name was Nirmala School and later it was renamed after St. Francis of Assisi the Patron of Ecology. In 1994 the process began to upgrade it into a High School. In the academic year 1998 – 1999 the First batch of X std students wrote the Tamil Nadu Matriculation examination. In 2002 – 2003, it was recognized as St. Francis Matriculatioin Higher Secondary School. The School belongs to the Capuchin Friars Minor Society (Registered – Ref No. 210 of 1988 (66/73 Coimbatore).
