Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Vattem, Mahabubnagar Dist. is fully a residential and Co-educational institution run by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samithi which is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of Secondary and Higher Education), Govt. of India. The Vidyalaya falls under the Southern Region of NVS headquartered at Hyderabad. Located at the foothills of Lord Venkateshwara Temple, Vattem which is 42 kms away from the District headquarters enroute Jadcherla–Nagarkurnool . The Vidyalaya enjoys a pleasant and lively atmosphere. The District collector serves as the Chairman of the Vidyalaya Management Committee. The Vidyalaya has been established in atonement with the New Education Policy, 1986.
