Holy Cross School was founded in 1983,at the invitation and in collaboration with TATA STEEL,West Bokaro Division,Ghatotand. It is a Christian minorities school, managed by Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross, Hazaribag (A registered Charitable Society, engaged in various kind of educational and philanthropical activities throughout India). Being a Christian minority school, the management (TISCO) of the school is in general, guided and controlled by the rules and regulations of Hazaribagh Catholic Educational Association (Reg. No. 07 of 2002- 2003 under Societies Registration Act 1860). The School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, up to Senior Secondary level. The medium of instruction is English.
